Finding the Best BB Creams for Pale Skin was not an easy job.
Although many are listed as “fair” or “light” once swatched you will quickly see these aren’t going to necessarily suit your complexion.
These 3 BB Creams were the best products I found for my skin tone. Each have different finishes so whether you like a dewy or matte finish I have included options for all tastes.
For anyone trying to reference their own skintone to see whether these may suit them my complexion is NW20 on the MAC Cosmetics scale.
Models Prefer BB Luxurious Youth Boost
Models Prefer Say –
“Buildable Balm with built in primer for a flawless finish in one step. Hyaluronic and Marine Collagen, Beta Glucan and Plant Extracts lock in hydration and fight the signs of ageing. Soft focus powders give a luminous finish under every light.”
I’m not usually a fan of a dewy finish but I love the Models Prefer BB Cream as it makes me look healthy and alive with minimal effort in application.
The creamy consistency allows the product to blend well on the skin and with just the right amount of glow your skin looks luminous, natural and almost younger in appearance.
Savvy by DB BB Cream
Savvy Say –
“A long lasting alternative to foundation that gives the skin a refreshed look”
Somewhere in between a dewy and matte finish lies the Savvy BB Cream. This is a thicker consistency that a lot of the BB Creams I have tried and is definitely the one out of these 3 options that is most closely matched to my skin.
This is the one I found myself gravitating to more for work as it is what I would consider to be closer to a foundation than a BB Cream however without the longevity unfortunately.
The product itself sits comfortably on the skin and glides on for easy application. As it is a pretty close match to my natural skin is allows me to lazily apply this at 6 o’clock in the morning without having to worry to much about it.
Rimmel London BB Cream Matte
Rimmel Say –
“9-in-1 skin perfecting super makeup with a natural matte finish. Oil Free formula 1) Minimises the appearance of pores 2) Evens Skin Tone 3) Mattifies 4) Controls Shine All Day 5) Smoothes 6) Soothes 7) Conceals Dark Circles 8) Helps Prevent Blemishes and 9) Gives All-Day Coverage”
The Rimmel BB Cream is one that I would consider the closest to a traditional BB Cream. It has a watery consistency compared to its previously mentioned counterparts and is the most easy to apply. I apply this with a damp sponge and find that it applies like a dream.
I don’t necessarily think it ticks all the boxes in terms of the 9 features it claims to provide however prolonged use may alter my opinion on this.
Slightly darker in colour it blends to a beautifully colour matched shade however it does require some additional blending in order to completely merge with your own skin tone.
